Award winning Sven Cycles
Here at Sven Cycles, we take great pride in designing and building the best bikes for our customers. So, you can imagine how great it feels, when someone gives us an award in recognition of all our hard work.
We don’t bang on about our awards very often, but we hope you’ll indulge us in this short post.
As you may know, Sven Cycles started life in 2010. We moved into our workshop in Weymouth and were soon knee-deep in bikes.
In 2014 we entered our Light Weight Rohloff Tourer into the Bespoked Bike Show. This prestigious event showcases handmade bikes from all over the world, so you can imagine how thrilled we were to win their Best Touring Bike category.
In 2015, we decided to chance our arm in a couple of different categories. This time we were runners up in Best in Show, and Best in Show Public Vote.
Our confidence was starting to grow, so the following year, 2016, we went all-in, entering four different categories. We won them all!
We’ve spent most of this year hard at it in the workshop, but we did manage to put in an entry. We won Best Touring Bike (CTC) again; this time with our beloved Pathfinder.
For us, being recognised by the biking community is a huge acknowledgement that these amazing bikes we design and hand-make in our workshop are some of the best in the world. For our customers, it’s a bit of quality assurance that we really are delivering what we promise: an exceptional bike for life.
David Carradice, the owner of Carradice bicycle bags, commissioned a bespoke bicycle hand-crafted by Sven Cycles — the winner of the 2014 Bespoked ''Best Touring Bicycle Award''.
